Alabama Trio Basshead Jazz sent quite the shockwave through the regional Hip-Hop scene in 2018. Even more impressive, they did so solely off of live performances, as they had no official music released. All that changes with the group's first EP "Side'AGrits". The project is a time machine of Southern HIp-Hop and Soul, containing elements of past, contemporary, and future(?) sounds. At about 20 minutes, it's a quick listen, but the trio ensures "Dis Ain't No Album"... the best is yet to come.
